Each sector refers to a portion of the commercial cannabis industry that is normally issued the same commercial cannabis license type for their cannabis activity. Each sector is broken down into subsectors; the commercial cannabis businesses within the same subsector have similar inherent risks.

You should be able to identify how cannabis product moves through the cannabis supply chain and how they work together to bring the cannabis product to the consumer. By being able to refer to the points in the supply chain in a common vernacular you are better able to communicate where risks are in a commercial cannabis business.
